Tongan Artist

Hello my name is Tevita Pola'apau.  I am an artist born and raised in Tonga.  I now reside in Kolomatu'a on the main island of Tongatapu a small village near Nuku'alofa.  I have basically been an artist my whole life.  I retired from teaching art at Liahona High School four years ago and I now spend my days creating works of art which has

always been my passion.  You can see some of my work by selecting 'Art Gallery' from the menu above.  I invite you to read more about me as an artist so you will better understand what motivates me to draw and my passion for creating art.

Using traditional Tapa cloth, prepared by my wife, as my canvas I am able to combine multiple aspects of the Tongan culture to  represent Tongan life.  My art typically illustrates our responsibility to preserve these traditions, the Tongan history and way of life, and to respect nature.  If you have a particular scene you would like me to create I am also available for commission work.  I hope you feel of my passion and love for what I do.  I  would love to create a piece of unique art designed just for you.

I have also provided my contact information, some sample prices, and basic shipping rates which can all be accessed from the menu above.
